Two-Month Power Outage Expected In Ondo And Ekiti States

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a scheduled maintenance project on the 132kV Akure-Osogbo transmission line, as detailed in a public notice reported by PUNCH Online on Sunday. The upgrade is set to impact power supply to Ondo and Ekiti states over a two-month period.

Starting from Monday, July 1 until August 31, residents of the affected states will encounter daily power outages lasting nine hours. The maintenance work includes the installation of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) and other necessary activities to ensure operational safety.

In their notice, TCN expressed regret for the disruption and requested understanding from customers during this period.
