Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has suggested that single colleagues in search of life partners consider looking within the movie industry. The advice, shared via her Instagram page, emphasizes the abundance of single individuals within Nollywood.

Highlighting the unique understanding that colleagues in the industry possess regarding the demands of the profession, particularly in the realm of marriage, Ogbodo advocates for intra-industry marriages. She specifically lauds Nollywood actresses, asserting that they make exceptional spouses.

In her words, “My advice to Nollywood actors or actresses looking for a life partner: LOOK WITHIN THE INDUSTRY. Husbands and wives are plentiful here. Marry each other. Your fellow actors understand you and your profession better than outsiders. Besides, Nollywood actresses make the best wives. Argue with yourself if you disagree.”

Ogbodo’s recommendation comes amidst discussions surrounding the recent tragedy involving Nollywood producer Adanma Luke, where actor Junior Pope and three others lost their lives in a boat mishap on set. Despite criticisms directed at Luke for alleged negligence, Ogbodo defended her, stating that mistakes occur even in Hollywood, and Luke is not inherently careless.
