In a video shared on her X (formerly Twitter) account, Badenoch raised alarm over projections that nearly two million immigrants could automatically qualify for British citizenship by next year — a figure she noted is nearly double the population of Birmingham.

“To address this, we’ve introduced a deportation bill because we are serious about cutting immigration,” she said.

Unveiled on Tuesday, the bill outlines several tough measures, including the automatic deportation of all foreign criminals, compulsory age verification, stricter visa requirements, exclusion of the Human Rights Act from immigration matters, repayment of asylum support, and denying permanent residency to individuals who depend on state benefits.

Badenoch stressed, “These changes must become law to truly solve the problem. Labour should adopt them now. It’s time to get tough. The Conservatives’ deportation bill makes that happen. This country is a home, not a hotel.”
