The SUV, assigned to the Department of Operations at Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, was declared missing on July 28, 2025, after it was allegedly taken from the official parking lot.

According to a report by SaharaReporters on Sunday, the incident was revealed through an internal wireless message from the Commissioner of Police in charge of DFA, Katsina Command, citing details received from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja.

The internal alert, now circulated across all police commands, disclosed that the stolen vehicle carries chassis number JTELU71JX0B027126 and registration number NPF 5594 D.
