Dr. Kamar Abdulkadir, an educator within the Department of Physical and Health Education at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), fell victim to unidentified perpetrators who took his life within the confines of his office.

The tragic incident occurred on a fateful Sunday when the assailants clandestinely infiltrated his workspace, launching a vicious assault employing a knife and hammer.

Revealed by Zagazola Makama, a seasoned counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, via a post on his social media handle, the demise of Dr. Abdulkadir unfolded with the discovery of his lifeless body bearing multiple injuries inflicted by the assailants.

Additionally, the assailants absconded with the victim’s vehicle and other belongings, compounding the severity of the crime.

Makama elucidated further, detailing the grim circumstances of the attack, stating, “His valiant attempt to resist the assailants resulted in severe injuries to his hands, while the assailants callously utilized a hammer to deliver fatal blows to his head and spinal cord, extinguishing his life in an instant.”

Despite the gravity of the situation, neither the Borno State Police Command nor the university administration has issued any formal statement regarding the tragic demise of the esteemed lecturer at the time of this report.
