The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, has downplayed recent disagreements within the party’s Oyo State chapter. Speaking on Arise News, he said that given the size of the party, such disputes are inevitable and should not be labeled a crisis. It’s not a crisis. It’s simply people taking interest and asserting themselves in the process of contesting for offices. There’s nothing to worry about; this is normal activity at this stage, and nothing has been formalized yet,” he said.
Morka added, “We are the largest party in the country, and possibly on the continent. When so many people go through a narrow selection process for leadership positions, disagreements and competition are bound to happen.”
Regarding the ₦5.1 million payment made by Fubara Dagogo, Morka emphasized that aspirants must adhere to party rules and that any refund issues can be addressed directly with the APC.
“No, we don’t ‘collect’ funds arbitrarily. We publish the rules, guidelines, and account details for the process. Anyone who pays does so knowingly, aware of all applicable rules. But once the payment is made, these are respected party members, and if any concerns arise—like refunds—they can engage with the party to resolve them,” he stated.
