This award inspires us to continue on the path of national renewal with renewed faith, courage, and hope. I am convinced that Nigeria is steadily advancing toward a stronger, more resilient future.”

He highlighted reforms introduced since taking office in 2023, particularly within the Nigeria Immigration Service, noting that the automation of passport applications and resolution of long-standing backlogs have strengthened border management and enhanced service delivery.

Addressing the students present, Tunji-Ojo praised Nigerian youth as the nation’s greatest asset and future custodians. “You are the keepers of the future. Your ideas, courage, conviction, and curiosity will shape the direction of our nation,” he said, urging them not to let current economic and social pressures dampen their aspirations. He also invoked Nelson Mandela’s words on the transformative power of education, encouraging students to harness knowledge as a tool for meaningful change.
