On Friday, the University of Lagos officially announced an increase in the tuition fees for its undergraduate students, citing the current economic situation in Nigeria as the reason behind the adjustment.

Starting from the 1st Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Session, the revised tuition fees will be in effect, aiming to enable the university to meet its various obligations to students, staff, and service providers.
The statement also highlighted that the University of Lagos had not implemented any obligatory fee increases in recent times, making this adjustment a necessary measure in light of the prevailing economic challenges.
The management of UNILAG sought understanding and support from students and other stakeholders, assuring them of their unwavering commitment to providing the best learning experience possible.
