Speaking on a Fox News programme hosted by Harris Faulkner on Thursday, Moore said the delegation moved around Benue State in armoured vehicles due to security risks. “This is a fact-finding mission. Benue is one of the most dangerous states in Nigeria. This is where many Christians are being killed for their faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. But I felt we had to go,” Moore said.

He further claimed that even IDP camps had been targeted by attackers, questioning narratives that attribute the violence to climate pressures or land-use disputes.
