Very Arrogant!’ — DeeOne Slams Davido Over Soso Soberekon’s Wedding Snub

Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate and comedian, Aderombi Adedayo, popularly known as DeeOne, has criticised Nigerian music star Davido over his absence at the traditional wedding of music executive Soso Soberekon.

Soberekon recently married his partner in a colourful traditional ceremony held in Delta State, with several prominent figures from the entertainment industry in attendance.

Reacting in a video posted on his Instagram page, DeeOne argued that Davido should have attended the ceremony, sent a representative, or at the very least publicly congratulated Soberekon.

According to the comedian, Soberekon played a key role in Davido’s early career, including facilitating one of the singer’s first multimillion-dollar deals.

“With everything Soso Soberekon has done for Davido, Davido should have been one of the major people at that wedding,” DeeOne said.

“You couldn’t attend the wedding, none of your team or family members represented you, and you couldn’t even post a simple ‘happy married life’ message to Soso.”

He further claimed that Soberekon was instrumental in connecting Davido to his first deal worth more than one million dollars.

“The first person who linked Davido to a deal worth over one million dollars was Soso. If I’m lying, let Davido come out and say so,” he alleged.

DeeOne also accused the award-winning singer of being proud and arrogant, claiming he prefers to see others succeed only to a certain extent.

“He wants people to do well, but not better than him. That’s the kind of person I believe Davido is. I’m really disappointed. After everything Soso did for him, what was the benefit?” he said.

Despite his criticism, DeeOne congratulated Soberekon and his wife on their marriage and urged Davido to publicly celebrate the couple regardless of any differences between them.

“Davido, try and congratulate your friend or former friend—I don’t know what happened between both of you. Soso has helped you in life, and he deserves that respect,” he added.
