Nigeria is poised to clinch their fourth AFCON title as they prepare to battle Cote d’Ivoire at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan, on Sunday night.
In an interview with Portuguese sports daily O Jogo, Peseiro expressed, “This [AFCON] holds immense significance for us. We made a commitment driven by sportsmanship rather than financial gain, and reaching such a final underscores the value of our investment in this career journey.
“No one can undermine what we have accomplished thus far. Our aim is clear: to secure victory in this final, which will be a triumph for all. Winning [the AFCON] would undoubtedly stand out as the pinnacle of my career.”
Peseiro has previously managed teams including Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Porto, Braga, and Sporting CP.
