In a viral video circulating online, Abdulfatai—known for his strong loyalty and vocal support for both the APC and the Kwara State Government—was seen visibly emotional, breaking down in tears as he lamented the development.

Speaking in Yoruba, he described the situation as unfair and a betrayal within the party, saying he was shocked to discover that his name was missing from the list of cleared aspirants.

He further explained that he only became aware of the exclusion after party officials released the final list, despite what he described as years of loyalty, sacrifice, and commitment to the party’s success. He repeatedly questioned why he was sidelined, insisting he deserved inclusion.

Meanwhile, in a separate development within the party, another APC figure, Ciroma Almajiri Joseph, has withdrawn from the Kaduna South Senatorial race ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Joseph, popularly known as Hasken Southern Kaduna, announced his withdrawal in a statement dated April 20, 2026, where he also declared support for the incumbent senator, Sunday Marshall Katung.

He said his decision followed wide consultations with family members, political allies, community leaders, and supporters across Southern Kaduna.

According to him, the move was aimed at strengthening unity within the party and promoting political stability in the region.

Joseph added that his withdrawal was driven by patriotism, maturity, and a desire to maintain cohesion within the APC ahead of the elections.
