While some Nigerians have suggested that Obi should run for the presidency again in 2027, Adeyanju expressed his view during an appearance on ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, emphasizing that a strong leader is required and implying that Obi does not meet this criterion.

Adeyanju described Obi as “just a decent and nice guy” but not the leader Nigeria needs. He argued that Nigeria requires someone who instills fear in corrupt officials and forces them to flee.

He further suggested that Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), represents the kind of leadership Nigeria needs. Adeyanju remarked, “Peter Obi is just a decent guy, nice guy… Nigeria needs someone who, just by their presence, will make corrupt individuals run away.”

He added that if Sowore were to become president, it would cause a mass exodus of politicians, citing a statement by former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar, who warned that Sowore’s presidency would spell disaster for corrupt figures.
