In a compelling video posted on her Instagram on July 30, Nkechi called on the President to publicly outline his strategies for mitigating the rising cost of living. She emphasized that if the President wishes to prevent the protest, he must reassure Nigerians by detailing his administration’s measures to tackle the economic challenges.

“This message is for His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Nkechi stated, addressing the President with all due respect. “We understand that there is a desire to avoid the protest, but as our leader, you need to come on national television and inform us about the steps you are taking to bring food prices back to normal.”

Nkechi expressed concern over the widespread hunger and economic strain affecting citizens across all social classes. “There’s a lot of suffering, and as a President, we need to hear from you directly. The protest is simply a platform for people to voice their frustrations and seek solutions.”

She further criticized the administration’s approach, urging, “Instead of attempting to undermine the protest, show us the measures you are implementing to address our grievances. The economic crisis affects everyone, including those who are struggling like myself.”
