Fuel Subsidy which has been practiced in Nigeria for decades due to inefficient local refineries have been dubbed as an “organized crime” by certain Nigerians as elites are using it to get richer while the poor get poorer as infrastructure, health care, education, and others continue to decay.
President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his inauguration ceremony made it known to Nigerians, World leaders that subsidy on fuel has gone according to the policy put in place by past president Buhari’s administration.
In recent days neighboring countries around Nigeria which includes Cameroon, Togo, Niger and the Benin Republic amongst others have lamented severely as prices of crude oil products continue to hike.
Earlier today, Cameroon motorcyclists took to their various streets to protests over the removal of petrol subsidy Nigeria. As seen in the video making rounds on various social media platforms they were expressing their dissatisfaction in Fulfulde and French, and also criticizing President Bola Tinubu.

Proud Yoruba Man-“The truth is leaking out gradually, told ppl I don’t have 2 much expectations from Tinubu but he’s gonna block a lot of leakages in the economy and expose many. They’ll have no choice than to deal with Nigeria legally. Today it’s Cameroon, expect Benin, Togo, Niger etc 2 show up.”
Gladiator-“This is a bordering state between Nigeria and Cameroon. Adamawa state precisely. There are more than 20 filling stations at every border town in Adamawa state that operate only at night. Subsidy removal is for the best. We just need to ensure the initial shock.”
Hov Ola-“That shows the kind of criminality that is being perpetrated by the marketer and exporters. The subsidy can’t work again and it’s the end. We can use the money to do some very meaningful things around the country.”

Great-“Really, they should channel their energy to their governments. Everything is working for them, however, our own country is feeding their country. No going back on subsidy, never.”
