VIDEO: Panic As Fire Guts Lagos Island Building Housing Commercial Bank

A fire broke out on Thursday at a multi-storey building on Broad Street, Lagos Island, Lagos State, which houses a Polaris Bank branch.

Videos shared on social media showed thick smoke rising from the structure as residents, traders, and business owners gathered at the scene in shock.

Emergency responders, including firefighters, were quickly deployed and were seen working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.

The cause of the fire was yet to be determined at the time of this report.

There was also no official response from emergency management agencies or the Lagos State Government regarding the incident.

No casualties had been confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
