The footage captures the aftermath of an incident where a young man, reportedly struggling with addiction, allegedly fatally stabbed his mother with a dagger. According to reports, the conflict arose after the mother reprimanded him for smoking early in the morning.

In the video, the suspect, identified as Samson, is seen holding the dagger while in a state of shock, gazing at his mother’s lifeless body surrounded by a pool of blood. Concerned neighbors gathered outside the compound hesitated to intervene due to the presence of the weapon.

Efforts to persuade Samson to discard the dagger and allow them to assist his mother were met with resistance as he appeared disoriented and remained outside in minimal clothing, visibly shaken by the tragic events unfolding.

Inside the house, cries of distress could be heard, reportedly from Samson’s brother, who suffers from sickle cell disease, adding to the harrowing scene.

Confirming the incident, SP Bright Edafe, Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, stated that Samson has been apprehended by the authorities.
