Uba Sani on Sunday attended the funeral prayer of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, held at the National Mosque Abuja.
Earlier, the El-Rufai family had announced that her burial would take place in Abuja the same day.
In a statement issued by Bello El-Rufai on behalf of the family, it was disclosed that the Janazah prayer was scheduled for 1 p.m. at the National Mosque.
The statement further noted that following the prayer, her remains would be taken to Gudu Cemetery for burial in line with Islamic rites.
The family expressed their grief in the announcement, stating that Hajiya Umma had returned to her Creator, while also appreciating the prayers, visits, and condolences received during this difficult time.
They prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her mercy, and admit her into Aljannatul Firdaus.
It was also recalled that the late Hajiya Umma passed away in Cairo, Egypt.
