The protests occurred in over 10 local government areas across the state, leading to reports of destruction and looting of government property. In Dutse, the state capital, one victim was shot in front of Government House, while the other was killed in Shiwarin town when protesters attempted to block the Maiduguri-Kano Road.
Protesters also set fire to the All Progressives Congress (APC) headquarters and burned party vehicles in Dutse. In Hadejia, a local resident reported that four people were hospitalized due to injuries and suffocation from tear gas. Additionally, agricultural supply stores were looted.
In Gumel, protesters vandalized and looted the state Agricultural Supply Company (JASCO) store, the residence of a local House of Representatives member, and the home of the APC Zonal Vice Chairman. In Birninkudu, two people were injured, and stores selling fertilizers and grains were vandalized.
Protests also took place in Ringim, Jahun, and Kazaure, with demonstrators demanding an end to bad governance.
