Speaking on Thursday at the 61st annual meeting of the NNC of WAEC in Lafia, Sule emphasized the need for the committee to continually advance with innovative measures to significantly reduce the occurrence of malpractice.
Highlighting the urgency of addressing examination malpractice to secure the future of children and the nation, Governor Sule acknowledged its detrimental impact on the education system.
He emphasized that education is a vital legacy for the youth of Nasarawa State and the key to socio-economic development for the entire nation.
Despite acknowledging the challenges in Nigeria’s education sector, Sule commended WAEC for maintaining success in promoting quality education and fostering regional cooperation among English-speaking countries in the sub-region.
The governor affirmed his administration’s commitment to establishing a robust foundation for the education sector, providing quality and affordable education, and addressing the challenges faced by children with special needs in the state.
Governor Sule assured that his government will continue to create an environment that encourages learning in basic and secondary institutions in the state.
He also called on parents to actively participate in the educational development of their children.
