Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Omokri asserted that Peter Obi cannot deny his claims without facing public embarrassment. According to him, detailed records exist to back his story.
He stated:
“Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and I were the ones who influenced Waziri Atiku Abubakar to choose Peter Obi as his vice-presidential candidate in 2019. We packaged Obi, presenting him as the best thing since sliced bread.”
He continued:
“When Peter Obi met Boris Johnson, it wasn’t of his own doing. I personally arranged the meeting, along with Senator Ben Bruce. If Obi tries to deny it, I have meticulous documentation, and I can call on my friend, Lord Daniel—a member of the British House of Lords who facilitated the meeting—to confirm it.”
Omokri went on to reveal that, despite not being personally fond of Obi, he supported him out of loyalty to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
“I don’t particularly like Peter Obi,” Omokri admitted. “But I went all out for him because President Jonathan asked me to, and I am loyal.”
