We Won’t Hand Over Nigeria To Men Controlled By Their Wives – Hassan Fires Shots At Amaechi

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alwan Hassan, has criticized former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, labeling him as a man dependent on his wife.

Hassan argued that Nigeria should not be entrusted to someone whose household is financially supported by his spouse.

This came after Amaechi, in a recent interview, described his wife, Judith Amaechi, as the “backbone” of their family, emphasizing her entrepreneurial drive, which he said existed long before his involvement in public office. When questioned about the source of his wealth, Amaechi credited his wife’s industriousness as the main reason behind their financial stability.

Reacting to Amaechi’s remarks in an interview with Channels Television, Hassan stated that such comments reveal that the former governor is not the head of his home. According to him, a man who relies on his wife for sustenance is unfit to lead a nation like Nigeria.

Hassan said, “Is it the kind of people who publicly admit their wives are taking care of them that we want to hand over this country to? Absolutely not. Nigeria needs a man who is truly in charge — someone who leads in his home and doesn’t depend on his wife to provide for him.

“We want a complete man in office. A man who commands authority in his home — not someone being fed by his wife. We will never hand over Nigeria to such a person.”
