Ajimobi made the statement in a viral video circulating on social media while speaking to journalists at a political gathering.

She said the 2027 elections would be keenly contested in Oyo State, expressing confidence in the APC’s preparedness to challenge the PDP at both state and national levels.

According to her, the ruling party enjoys strong backing at the federal level, including financial and institutional support, which she believes would neutralise any advantage the opposition currently holds within the state.

“We are going into 2027 ready for a serious contest. It will be a direct confrontation, and the PDP must leave,” Ajimobi said. “Whatever strategies they plan to use, we are not afraid. All power belongs to God, and we will seek His help while standing firm.”

She added that while the PDP may control resources at the state level, the APC has robust federal support to match.

“They may have money in the state, but we have resources and backing at the federal level. We are fully prepared and will not be intimidated. They should get ready—we are ready for them,” she said.
