Former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has reassured the public that his position as the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman remains secure, following discussions with President Bola Tinubu. Ganduje disclosed that despite attempts by the Kano State government to oust him, President Tinubu has affirmed his leadership within the party.The controversy arose after Ganduje’s suspension by his ward in Ganduje, DawakinTofa local government area of Kano State, over allegations of corruption. Haladu Gwanjo, the ward’s legal adviser, cited gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during Ganduje’s tenure as reasons for the suspension. The decision stemmed from a vote of no confidence, fueled by unresolved corruption allegations, including a widely circulated video allegedly showing Ganduje receiving bribes from a contractor.
