White House Sparks Fury: Trump Deletes Video Mocking Obamas After Backlash

The backlash erupted after Trump shared an AI-generated clip on Truth Social on Friday, which depicted the Obamas’ faces superimposed onto the bodies of monkeys. In the video, Michelle Obama’s face appeared on a black monkey, while Barack Obama’s face was placed on a brown monkey.
The post quickly drew widespread outrage across social media.
California Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the clip on X, writing, “Disgusting behaviour by the President. Every single Republican must denounce this. Now.”
Political analyst Harry Sisson also slammed the video, calling it “incredibly racist and unbecoming of the presidency” and urging Americans to denounce it.
Under mounting pressure, Trump eventually took the video down.
