Arsenal vs Juventus: The Battle For Osimhen’s Striking Talent Heats Up
Victor Osimhen’s time in Istanbul may be shorter than expected, less than a year after his high-profile move to Galatasaray, as both Arsenal and Juventus closely monitor the Nigerian striker’s situation.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The 27-year-old joined the Turkish giants in a €75 million deal, signing a contract until 2029. However, growing interest from top European clubs has cast doubt on how long he will stay in Turkey.
At Arsenal, transfer plans reportedly prioritize Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez. The Argentine forward, who joined Atletico from Manchester City in 2024, remains under contract until 2030, making a potential deal costly and complex. As a result, Osimhen has emerged as a prime alternative, particularly if Alvarez proves unattainable.
Sources indicate that Galatasaray are hesitant to sell in 2026, but an offer around €100 million could trigger serious negotiations—especially if Osimhen expresses a desire to return to a top European league. The striker is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League, having already left his mark in Serie A with Napoli.
Juventus are also tracking developments. Reports from Italy suggest the Turin club is impressed by Galatasaray’s financial commitment to Osimhen and may act if an opportunity arises.
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk recently highlighted the scale of the club’s financial outlay, stating:
“Galatasaray’s transfer fees and salaries have been rising since last year. With Osimhen’s transfer fee and salary, you could probably assemble a full team. We need to consider this. We’ve brought in key players such as Singo, Ugurcan, Sane, and Ilkay. Every team has a budget, and once it’s set at the start of the season, you need to stick to it.”
Those remarks have reportedly caught Juventus’ attention, where head coach Luciano Spalletti is eager to reunite with the striker he led to Napoli’s historic Serie A title in 2023.
Under Spalletti, Osimhen enjoyed a career-defining campaign, scoring 26 league goals, winning the Golden Boot, and helping Napoli claim their first Scudetto in decades.
With Juventus planning a potential attacking overhaul and uncertainty surrounding Dusan Vlahovic’s future, Osimhen is seen as a statement signing who could lead a new era in Turin.
On the field, the former Lille forward continues to justify the interest. He has scored 14 goals and provided one assist in 20 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray.
Internationally, he netted four goals and provided two assists in six matches at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), earning a spot in the Team of the Tournament and helping Nigeria secure the bronze medal.
