Uzor-Kalu revealed that he grounded his jet to generate income by leasing it to oil companies for the transportation of their officials. He said, “Honestly, I have stopped using my private jet since the 2nd of August 2024. I want to maintain that until we address the salary differences for workers in Nigeria and West Africa. With the cost of fuel and everything else, there’s no need for me to explain further.”
The senator, one of the first prominent political figures in Nigeria to own a private jet, emphasized his intention to continue using commercial flights for his travels. “There are commercial planes that operate on schedule, and I will use them to the glory of God,” he added.
