The founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has urged his congregation to ensure their offerings surpass their tithes in value. He stressed that both tithing and offerings are essential components for unlocking foundational prosperity.

According to the clergyman, tithing—giving 10 percent of one’s income—is the beginning of financial covenant with God.

Pastor Ibiyeomie revealed that he personally gives no less than 20 percent of his income as offering, which he credits for his financial abundance.

“Tithing is the foundation of your prosperity covenant. Don’t wait until the end of the month—whenever you receive money, return 10 percent to God immediately as a lifestyle,” he said.

“In a given month, your offering should exceed your tithe. I don’t give less than 20 percent as offering—that’s why I’m not poor. If you increase your offering beyond your tithe, you will never lack,” he declared during his sermon.

Meanwhile, the prominent pastor has issued a stern warning to certain bloggers, accusing them of twisting his sermons and misrepresenting his messages. He vowed to arrest and jail anyone who spreads such content—whether favorable or not.

In a now-viral video, Ibiyeomie expressed strong displeasure, even accusing some individuals within his church of collaborating with outsiders to spread false narratives.

He said, “When I take action against people, they later send others to beg me. But this is my final warning. Next time, there’ll be no second chance.”

Addressing one particular individual, he said, “I know you. Even your parents won’t plead with me. I’ll deal with you directly.”

He added, “Some people will criticize me for involving the police or cursing, but I don’t care. I’ll arrest and jail anyone who misrepresents me. Don’t share my news—good or bad. I’m already speaking to the world. You won’t make me famous.”

He also accused planted members within the church of deliberately twisting his words: “Instead of receiving the message, you pick a line, twist it, and spread falsehood. My gospel is simple—before you slap me, I’ll slap you. I’m not your regular pastor. Young man, I will fight you.”
