Why I’m No Longer A Feminist — Amber Rose Breaks Silence On Her Controversial Decision
American model and television personality Amber Rose has revealed that she no longer identifies as a feminist, explaining that her views on gender issues have evolved as she has grown older and become a mother to sons.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Rose made the disclosure while reflecting on how age and motherhood have influenced her understanding of relationships and issues affecting both men and women.
The model explained that although she continues to support women’s empowerment and the idea of “girl power,” she now believes it is important to consider perspectives from both genders.
“As I’ve gotten older and now have sons, I’m no longer a feminist. I still believe in girl power, but I see both sides now,” Rose said.
Rose has previously been vocal about women’s empowerment, body positivity and gender-related issues, using her public platform to discuss and advocate on matters affecting women.
Her latest remarks indicate that motherhood has contributed to a shift in how she views feminism and gender relations, while she maintains that she remains supportive of women and their empowerment.
