The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has ordered the immediate suspension of all vigils, overnight prayer sessions and related programmes across its branches nationwide, citing security concerns.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The directive was conveyed in an internal circular dated June 5, 2026, and signed by the Director of Administration at MFM International Headquarters and Nigeria, Temitope Olawale.

Under the new guidelines, all church services, meetings, programmes and activities at every level of the ministry are to conclude no later than 8:00 p.m. until further notice.

The church also instructed all branches to discontinue vigils and other overnight gatherings with immediate effect. Where such programmes are deemed necessary, branches have been advised to convert them into evening prayer meetings that must end on or before the stipulated 8:00 p.m. deadline.

According to the ministry, the measure is a proactive step aimed at ensuring the safety and welfare of worshippers in light of the prevailing security challenges in the country.

“These measures are purely precautionary and are intended to safeguard the lives and well-being of our members in the face of the current security situation in the country,” the circular stated.

MFM directed all overseers, zonal pastors, branch pastors, departments and groups within the ministry to strictly comply with the directive.

The church further tasked Mega Regional Overseers with ensuring that the directive is promptly communicated to all regions, zones and branches under their jurisdiction for immediate implementation.

The decision comes amid rising security concerns in several parts of the country, prompting religious organisations and other institutions to adopt additional safety measures to protect members and participants during gatherings.
