In a heartfelt interview on her YouTube channel, the 40-year-old pastor revealed that the breakup was due to circumstances beyond her control.

She likened the end of her marriage to experiencing a death, sharing that between 2021 and 2023 she also endured the devastating loss of her stepmother, her father’s twin sister, and eventually her father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

Toluwani emphasized that separation does not necessarily mean either party is to blame. She expressed respect for her ex-husband, noting that while he is a good man, marriages that are not divinely ordained often struggle to thrive. “My ex-husband is a great man… but if God doesn’t ordain you guys to be together and you force-fit yourselves, the likelihood of staying together is very low,” she explained.

Despite the heartbreak, Odukoya shared that her spiritual calling has been her anchor. Though she once doubted her worthiness, she chose to fully embrace her pastoral journey, finding strength in her faith. She also credited her family—especially her siblings and late father—for offering unwavering encouragement and support that helped rebuild her confidence and self-worth.

Her revelations come months after the passing of her father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, who died on August 7 in the United States. His son, Jimmy Odukoya, has since taken over as Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, serving alongside Toluwani.
