Idris explained that the government has established various centers across the country for the purchase of 50kg bags of rice at ₦40,000, as part of President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s efforts to improve living conditions for citizens.

In a press briefing at the Radio House in Abuja, Idris confirmed that the rice is available and is currently being distributed to different states. However, due to security concerns, specific routes and times for distribution cannot be disclosed at this time.

He emphasized, “The distribution process is underway, but for security reasons, we cannot specify the exact routes and times. The rice will be sold at ₦40,000 and is being made available at various points nationwide. We are taking measures to prevent it from being monopolized by those with financial resources, ensuring that the intended beneficiaries receive it.”
