Recent reports highlighting the inclusion of countries like Ethiopia, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia into BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) have triggered a fervent debate within Nigeria regarding the country’s reluctance to explore this alliance.
Sani emphasizes, “Nigeria’s refusal or failure to join BRICS is retrogressive to our economic future. As Sani advocates for a strategic shift in Nigeria’s global economic positioning, his remarks underscore the necessity for the nation to reassess its role on the international stage and explore alliances that could potentially reshape its economic trajectory.
