Wike Camp Moves Against Rivals, Names PDP House Of Reps Candidates In Oyo State
The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced its candidates for the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The list was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan by the PDP State Organising Secretary, Stephen Olaniyi.
According to the statement, the candidates emerged after the party conducted its primaries across Oyo State on Sunday.
The party said the 14 candidates would represent the PDP in their various federal constituencies during the 2027 elections.
Among those listed are Samson Fatola for Ibadan South-West/North-West, Idris Olanrewaju for Oyo East/Oyo West/Atiba/Afijio, and Olusegun Akinloye for Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere.
Others include Elizabeth Alao for Ido/Ibarapa East, Rasaki Haruna for Ibarapa Central/North, and Rotimi Ajumobi for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola.
The list also features Adedotun Adebayo for Oluyole, Olusoji Olusegun for Ibadan North, and Solomon Odeyemi for Egbeda/Ona-Ara.
Additional candidates are Victoria Akinyemi for Akinyele/Lagelu, Abdul-Lateef Adeniran for Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope, and Ramota Azeez for Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West.
Also nominated are Olayemi Akinyemi for Ibadan South-East/North-East and Ajoke Okanlawon for Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire.
The party expressed optimism about the candidates’ chances in the elections and called on members to remain united and support their campaigns ahead of 2027.
