Wike Explodes: ‘Decades In Office, Still No Results From Coalition Stakeholders

Speaking on Saturday during the 35th Combined Convocation and 50th Anniversary celebration of the University of Port Harcourt, Wike criticized the ADC coalition, accusing its leaders of having spent most of their lives in public office with no tangible results to show for it.
According to him, the coalition’s primary agenda is to seize power from President Bola Tinubu, not out of concern for the nation’s progress, but out of a desperate pursuit of relevance. He alleged that these individuals are spreading falsehoods and hate to tarnish the image of Tinubu’s government ahead of the 2027 elections.
Wike defended the Tinubu administration, stating that while some policies may have been tough, they are necessary steps that are already yielding positive results, such as a decline in fuel prices and other economic indicators.
He said,
“Our country is undoubtedly on a path of positive transformation, and soon the improvements will be clear to everyone — even to those who choose not to see.”
On the opposition coalition, he added:
“Nigerians must reject these purveyors of hate, division, and propaganda. These so-called coalition members are not new to power; they have held positions for decades and yet left no legacy. Instead of contributing to the rebuilding of our nation, they now congregate to derail it.”
Wike urged citizens to stay vigilant and united, rejecting what he described as the divisive tactics of those who had long contributed to Nigeria’s past failures.
