Wike Makes Surprise Appearance At PDP Secretariat, Raises Eyebrows (Video)

He was received at the secretariat by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu.

The visit comes shortly after a faction of the PDP aligned with Wike reportedly took control of the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, following the unsealing of the premises by the Nigeria Police Force.

The PDP has continued to grapple with a prolonged internal leadership crisis, which recently escalated into tensions at its National Headquarters on November 18. The incident involved a clash between factions of the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Tanimu Turaki (SAN), backed by Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed, and the Wike-aligned faction led by Abdulrahman Mohammed.

Following the unsealing of the secretariat, the Abdulrahman Mohammed-led NWC confirmed the development in a statement issued through its National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed.

The statement warned that any actions capable of disrupting order or provoking violence would not be tolerated.

It also commended the Nigeria Police Force for what it described as professionalism and adherence to the rule of law, saying the intervention reflected respect for constitutional procedures and due process.
