Woman Reveals Five Questions She Asked Divorced Father Of Three Before He Disappeared

A single woman in her 40s, Ola Jumoke, has shared her views on divorced fathers who pursue relationships with single, childfree women while allegedly showing little interest in dating single mothers.

Jumoke recounted how a 48-year-old divorced man with three children approached her, explaining that she chose to prioritise her personal goals and established lifestyle rather than take on additional family responsibilities without carefully considering their compatibility.

In a statement shared online, she argued that some divorced men expect childfree women to embrace the responsibilities associated with their existing families, even though they may be unwilling to consider similar circumstances when choosing partners for themselves.

Jumoke said she had never been married and had deliberately focused on building her life. She added that she was not interested in becoming a stepmother simply to meet societal expectations surrounding marriage.

She explained that she asked the man five important questions to determine whether their values, financial expectations and future plans were compatible.

Among other things, she wanted to know what he believed they had in common beyond physical attraction, how much he could realistically contribute financially to a new household after meeting his existing obligations, and whether he had enough time and emotional capacity to sustain another committed relationship.

She also questioned how he would manage co-parenting arrangements, boundaries with his former partner and disagreements involving his children without transferring those responsibilities to her.

Additionally, Jumoke asked what changes he would be willing to make to build a relationship that accommodated both partners, rather than expecting her to compromise her quality of life to fit into his existing family structure.

According to her account, the man stopped responding after she raised the questions.

Jumoke maintained that compatibility and mutual understanding were essential when considering a relationship with someone who already had children. She stressed that being over 40 should not pressure a woman into abandoning her standards or personal boundaries because of society’s expectations about marriage.

Her remarks have drawn attention to conversations about dating, blended families, financial responsibilities and the expectations partners bring into relationships, particularly when one person already has children.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Jumoke’s account highlights the importance of discussing family obligations, financial commitments, co-parenting boundaries and long-term expectations before entering a serious relationship.
