The disagreement began in September when Wumi publicly criticised Afeez following comments he made about her during an interview on the African A-List podcast. Afeez had stated that her film roles reflected her real-life character, claiming that “violence is her comfort zone.”

The duo recently reconciled at the premiere of their colleague Odunlade Adekola’s movie. In a video circulating online, Wumi approached Afeez, knelt, and apologised for her earlier remarks, saying, “I’m sorry, sir. Please forgive me.” Initially hesitant, Afeez eventually lifted her up and embraced her.

On Tuesday, Wumi shared a post on Instagram stating that she has chosen peace and emphasised that elders should remain respected, even in moments of anger.
