During an appearance on the Teju Babyface podcast, Jaywon criticized such artists, particularly Burna Boy.

“Burna is undoubtedly talented, but when it comes to his attitude, it’s as if Burna is saying ‘no one paved the way for me’. How can you say that? It’s entirely wrong. You don’t get it. It’s crazy. Because it means you’re suggesting that no one has ever motivated you since you were young,” Jaywon said.

In response to Jaywon’s comments, Odumodu reiterated that he wasn’t influenced by anyone in his music career. He also took a dig at Jaywon for previously describing his music as ‘not all that.’
