Addressing the appointees during the swearing-in ceremony at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Friday, Fubara emphasized that their roles are essential to strengthening governance and fast-tracking the administration’s developmental agenda.

“It is not about pleasure; it is about work. Each of you has proven your capability in previous responsibilities,” he said.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to steady governance amid ongoing political challenges in the state, stressing that his administration is determined to regain lost ground and continue delivering on its mandate.

“We have every reason to move forward and reclaim what was lost. Today’s appointments are meant to ensure that the machinery of governance continues to function smoothly in Rivers State,” Fubara added.

Highlighting the experience of the appointees, he noted that their familiarity with government operations positions them to make an immediate impact.

  • Barr. Eloka Tasie-Amadi, former Commissioner for Works

  • Prof. Peter Medee, former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning

  • Barr. Emmanuel Frank Fubara, former Commissioner for Finance

  • Victor Ekaro, former Special Adviser on Security to ex-Governor Nyesom Wike

  • Dr. Darlington Oji, former Caretaker Chairman of Ikwerre LGA
