You’re No Threat! — APC Blasts ADC Over Tinubu Witch-Hunt Accusations
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over accusations that President Bola Tinubu is targeting opposition figures in the North-East and North-West to dismantle a growing coalition ahead of the 2027 elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement on Monday, ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, alleged that Tinubu’s administration is deliberately persecuting northern opposition leaders to weaken the emerging alliance.
Responding in an interview with Punch, APC’s Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, dismissed the ADC’s claims and urged Nigerians to ignore Abdullahi, describing him as untrustworthy.
Ibrahim pointed out that Abdullahi had once admitted that being a party spokesperson “required lying,” and questioned whether he had since renounced the practice.
“This is the same Bolaji Abdullahi who confessed that his toughest job was being the APC spokesperson because he claimed one couldn’t do the job without lying,” Ibrahim said. “Is he now claiming to have reformed, or is he still being untruthful?”
He further emphasized that the APC has never encouraged falsehoods and that Abdullahi’s previous behavior was a reflection of his own character, not party policy.
“The truth is, if he lied in that role, it was by personal choice — not a directive from the party. Nigerians should judge him by his own admission.”
Ibrahim also dismissed the ADC as politically insignificant and disorganized.
“The ADC has been in shambles since its inception. They pose no threat to the APC. Their so-called coalition is fragmented and built on deception,” he stated.
“Some attendees of their recent coalition meeting claimed they were misled — thinking they were attending a PDP caucus or a different gathering entirely — only to find their photos splashed across media platforms as supposed coalition members. That’s not a coalition; it’s chaos.”
