Speaking on Friday, December 27, Imam Jamiu prayed for Tinubu’s success and commended his competence and leadership abilities during the Jumat prayer at the Lekki Central Mosque in Lagos, attended by the President and other Muslim faithful.

He assured the President of continued prayers and unwavering support from the Muslim Ummah as he leads the nation.

“We are proud of you. I remember encouraging people to vote for you during the campaigns, and we thank God you have not disappointed us.

“We know you are capable, sagacious, and competent. We believe and pray that you will continue to meet our expectations. May Allah guide you in fulfilling the trust He has placed in your hands.

“Remember, accountability is to Allah and responsibility is to the people. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, ‘The most beloved of all people to Allah is the righteous and just leader.’

“We have seen righteousness, fairness, and justice in you. Please sustain these qualities. Your name, Ahmed, reflects actions that are praiseworthy, and we hope this continues to shine through in your leadership,” Imam Jamiu stated.

In his sermon, the Imam urged the faithful to maintain gratitude during times of fortune and patience during adversity, emphasizing the importance of unwavering hope and faith in Allah, even during challenging times.

According to the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, this marked President Tinubu’s first public appearance since attending prayers at the Alausa Central Mosque the previous Friday.
