Dauda Lawal, declaring the March 18 governorship election in the state inconclusive. A mandated rerun is set for three local government areas: Maradun, Birnin-Magaji, and Bukkuyum.
Yusuf Idris, the APC spokesperson, expressed confidence in victory in a Channels TV interview, asserting that they would defeat the opposition in the proposed rerun.
On the other hand, Governor’s Chief of Staff, Mukhtar Lugga, remained optimistic about the PDP’s popularity and victory, stating that the ruling was surprising but they trust in the judiciary.
He emphasized the party’s resilience and readiness for any legal recourse, whether it be the Supreme Court or a new election, affirming their commitment to providing Zamfara with good governance.
Lugga questioned the basis of the APC’s confidence, highlighting unaddressed gaps in their claims.
