Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Zulum on New Media, clarified in a statement that Umara Zulum was not involved in any criminal activity and no arrests or charges had been filed against him. In a 35-second video shared on social media, Umara Zulum himself refuted the allegations, calling them baseless and aimed at besmirching his father’s reputation. He stated that he has been with his family in Maiduguri for the past two months and asserted his innocence regarding the incident purportedly occurring at a nightclub.

“I am Umara Babagana Umara Zulum. I am here to address damaging falsehoods that have been made against me,” he asserted in the video, emphasizing the malicious intent behind the accusations.
