200 Employees Dismissed Ny CBN In Latest Structural Overhaul....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The recent restructuring at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has led to the dismissal of around 200 employees across various departments. Notable areas affected include Human Resources, Development Finance, Trade and Exchange (with Dr. Hassan Mahmud, a prominent director, among those impacted), Financial Policy and Regulation, and Procurement and Support Services. All service coordinators in the Procurement and Support Services Department, primarily based in state branches, were reportedly let go on Friday. The sudden termination letters, received on Friday afternoon, came as a surprise to the affected employees, abruptly ending their employment. The apex bank attributed the layoffs to a “significant organizational and human capital restructuring process” aligned with its recently publicized strategic direction and new mission and vision. Although the true extent of these job cuts is yet to be determined, the abrupt nature of the layoffs has caused concern and upheaval among the affected employees.
