2027: ‘Peter Obi Is Just An Actor, I See No Leadership In Him’ — Doris Ogala
The African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has said she does not consider former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi to possess the leadership qualities needed to govern Nigeria.
Ogala made the remark during an appearance on The Clarity Zone Podcast, where she explained why she chose the AAC ahead of the 2027 general election instead of supporting the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate.
The Abia governorship candidate said her decision was influenced by her personal assessment of Obi and his approach to politics.
According to Ogala, she views several of Obi’s political activities as more of a performance than genuine leadership.
She also expressed doubts about Obi’s ability to adequately defend the votes of Nigerians, describing the protection of the people’s mandate as an essential quality for anyone seeking the nation’s highest office.
“I see Peter Obi as an actor. Everything he does is acting for me. I don’t see leadership in Obi. I don’t feel it. I don’t see him as someone who can defend my vote, who can protect Nigerian votes,” she said.
Explaining her decision to join the AAC, Ogala said she was attracted by the party’s manifesto, particularly its emphasis on women’s inclusion and access to education for children.
“I joined AAC because I looked at their manifesto. They believe in women inclusion, they believe in every child going to school,” she added.
