Speaking in a recent interview with Yaw on Wazobia FM Lagos, the “African Queen” crooner expressed strong confidence in the genre’s future, insisting that Afrobeats will continue to thrive on the international stage.
According to him, the steady emergence of young talents remains a key driver of the genre’s growth. He noted that the new generation of artists is keeping Afrobeats vibrant with their unique styles and creativity.
He cited a recent remake of his song “If Love Is A Crime” by rising artist Fola as an example, praising the singer’s smooth vocals and fresh interpretation. 2Baba added that the current crop of artists brings exciting energy and innovation to the sound.
