APC Chairman Storms El-Rufai’s Residence In High-Profile Visit (Photos)

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma.
Hajiya Umma El-Rufai reportedly passed away on Friday in Cairo, Egypt, after a period of illness. She was said to be nearly 100 years old. Her death was earlier announced by her grandson, Bello El-Rufai, in a Facebook post where he appreciated her life and requested prayers for her soul.
Following the development, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) granted El-Rufai temporary release to enable him participate in his mother’s funeral rites.
In a statement issued on Saturday night, Yilwatda said he visited El-Rufai’s residence to sympathise with him and his family over the loss, describing the death of a mother as a deeply painful and irreplaceable experience.
He noted that the late matriarch lived a fulfilled life and left behind a lasting legacy through her children and those she impacted. He also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for her shortcomings and for her to be granted eternal rest, while asking God to give the family the strength and patience to bear the loss.
