In Lagos, demonstrators defied a court order limiting their movements to specific areas, instead taking to the streets, roads, and Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park to air their grievances.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, reassured the public via X.com that the police are present to ensure safety. He noted that Lagos Commissioner of Police Adegoke Fayoade had visited various protest sites, including Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park and Lekki Toll Gate, and confirmed that the protests were peaceful. Hundeyin emphasized that the safety and security of both protesters and non-protesters remain a priority.
