The university’s precaution aims to ensure the safety and well-being of its female members. The directive was announced in a memo titled “Notice to All Female Staff and Students on Ikole Campus,” signed by Senior Assistant Registrar Ibukunoluwa O. Alamu.

The memo stated: “This is to inform all female staff and students on the Ikole campus that they are required to stay indoors between Wednesday, 7th August, and Friday, 9th August 2024, due to the ‘Oro’ festival in the Ikole-Ekiti community. Please take note.
